Gemma and Duncan’s wedding took place at Allerton Castle, North Yorkshire. We met the groomsmen in the billiard room for some casual photos as they played snooker, then snapped a great fish-eye photo of them all in front of Allerton Castle. After that it was time for photos of the bride and her bridesmaids upstairs in the castle. There were 3 adult bridemaids and 3 “mini” bridemaids, which we had fun photographing in natural light from the big windows. Once everyone was ready the bride’s father walked her down the grand staircase into the wedding ceremony room. A candle-lit room made for some great atmospheric shots during the service and the grand hall was a perfect backdrop for the wedding vows. After the ceremony we shot a few pictures in the grand rooms of the castle then headed outside for canapes, formal photos and confetti. The groomsmen were all wearing red socks which made for a fun shot during the formals. Once the meal was over and speeches done, there was a band playing and some of the guests from the wedding took part in the band.
