Jennifer and Alexander got married at Wentbridge Church and had their wedding reception at Wentbridge House, Wentbridge . We photographed the bride in the bridal suite before meeting the groomsman at the local pub for a few fun shots outside. Wentbridge House is a very historic wedding venue; the main building is Georgian and dates from 1700, this is shown on a stone set in to the wall in the rear of the Cocktail Bar. The Hotel is set in 20 acres of gardens and grounds in the village of Wentbridge, West Yorkshire. The church is just a 1 minute walk from Wentbridge House so most of the guests walked across. The bridal party had a VW camper van to transport them across and the bride and her father went in a VW Beetle which made for some great photos later on. You can see all the photos online CLICK HERE.

The bride, her bridesmaids and parents were photographed in the fantastic natural light from the large window in the bridal suite before we set off to the church to capture the guests and groomsmen. The old church is set up a bumpy track and on top of a hill so we waited for the bride to arrive before capturing the wedding ceremony from the back of the church. The rain held off long enough for a few natural photos outside the church once the registers had been signed. We also took a few of the formal photos in the doorway of the church before going back to Wentbridge House for the drinks reception and a few more photos. After a group photo of the entire wedding party from one of the windows we captured some more natural shots of the guests before the speeches began and the wedding breakfast was served. The evening do started around 730pm and we stayed to capture the first dance around 9pm. If you’re thinking of getting married at Wentbridge House we can highly recommend it as a great wedding venue!
