We LOVE monochrome weddings and black and white wedding photography. We feel it really captures the mood and atmosphere of your wedding day in a timeless fashion. We photograph all our weddings in full HD colour, but usually turn around 25% of the images into monochrome. We can also use variations on black and white. E.g sepia-toned images, if you have a particular look you want for your wedding photos. Our Wedding Album supplier; Graphistudio also offer a great range of albums to compliment black and white images.
Why black and white wedding photography?
Firstly an image can have a much bigger impact in black and white because you’re not distracted by the colours. We find that people really concentrate on looking at the expression and emotion of the image if it’s monochrome.
Secondly, having an image in black and white makes it much more classic. We find it’s often the images that capture a moment in time, rather than a posed picture, work better in black and white.
Thirdly, images seem much more delicate in black and white. We love the feel of the minute details photographed in black and white. Everything seems so crisp and fresh.
